Every spring, cherry blossoms put on one of nature’s most fleeting shows — soft pink and white blooms that blanket cities and parks across the globe. It’s a moment of quiet beauty, and for many, an irresistible reason to plan a trip. Whether you’re seeking the tradition-steeped celebrations of Japan or a quick stateside getaway, here are a few of our favorite places to catch peak cherry blossom season in style.

Japan

Japan is arguably the spiritual home of cherry blossom season. In Tokyo, trees line rivers and public parks like Shinjuku Gyoen and Ueno Park, while in Kyoto, the slower pace and traditional setting make hanami — the centuries-old tradition of blossom viewing — feel especially poetic.

Peak Season: Late March in Tokyo, early April in Kyoto
Ideal Stay: 4–6 nights

Where to Stay

  • The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon – Sleek and understated with views from a rooftop terrace, this high-rise escape offers a signature EDITION blend of modern edge and quiet refinement.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto – Elegant and serene, this riverside property combines traditional Japanese architecture with exceptional luxury and seasonal fine dining.
  • HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO – A reimagined samurai residence just steps from Nijo Castle, with its own courtyard garden and private onsen baths. It’s a destination in itself.

Seoul

Seoul in spring is surprisingly soft, with cherry blossoms spilling over parks, palaces, and city streets. The city is an intriguing mix of old and new — think Buddhist temples next to buzzing shopping districts, street food alongside Michelin stars.

Peak Season: Early April
Ideal Stay: 3–5 days

Where to Stay

  • Conrad Seoul – Set near Yeouido Park (a blossom hotspot), the Conrad offers sweeping views, a tranquil spa, and high-rise calm in the heart of the city.
  • Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul – A serene, hilltop retreat in the center of town with forest views, private plunge pools, and understated luxury tucked into every detail.

Washington, D.C.

Closer to home, D.C. is famous for its cherry blossoms, gifted by Tokyo in 1912. Each spring, the Tidal Basin becomes a dreamy, petal-covered reflection of the monuments — and a symbol of cross-cultural friendship.

Peak Season: Late March to early April
Ideal Stay: 3–5 days
Festival Dates: March 20–April 13, 2025

Where to Stay

  • Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf – Contemporary and stylish with sweeping waterfront views, just a short drive or scenic walk from the Tidal Basin.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown – Tucked into the historic neighborhood with a cozy-chic vibe and wood-burning fireplaces in select rooms.
  • Rosewood Washington, D.C. – A polished boutique experience right on the C&O Canal, perfect for those who prefer things a little quieter.

Vancouver

Image courtesy of Rosewood Hotel Georgia

Cherry blossoms meet coastal mountain views in this West Coast favorite. Vancouver’s cherry trees start blooming in late March and often linger into mid-April, making spring an ideal time to explore the city on foot.

Peak Season: Late March to mid-April
Ideal Stay: 3–4 days

Where to Stay

  • Fairmont Pacific Rim – Sleek and design-forward with harbor views, a rooftop pool, and art installations throughout.
  • Wedgewood Hotel & Spa – An independently owned classic with old-world charm, located near Vancouver’s blooming boulevards and urban green spaces.
  • The Douglas, Autograph Collection – Modern luxury with subtle nods to the natural world, set inside the glitzy Parq Vancouver complex.

Pro Tips for a Better Blossom Trip

Book early. Hotels and guided experiences fill up fast, especially in Tokyo and D.C.

Avoid driving. Public transportation is usually the fastest and most scenic option (especially in Japan and Seoul).

Be respectful. Don’t shake trees, pick flowers, or block paths for photos. It’s about sharing the experience.

Pack layers. Spring can be unpredictable, and cherry blossom season sometimes brings cool mornings and breezy afternoons.

Cherry blossom season is one of those rare, truly transportive travel moments — soft, quiet, and almost cinematic. Whether you fly across the world or just a few states over, it’s a beautiful reminder to pause, look up, and take it all in.

Fast cars, sunshine, and celebrities, here is an overview of the exciting race weekend in Miami!

Formula 1’s influence in Miami continues to grow with this year’s Miami Grand Prix garnering international attention and attendance by high profile celebrities. This is the third year of the race with the inaugural prix held in 2022.

As the race got started, Max Verstappen was the heavy favorite (having won both the 2022 and 2023 Miami Grand Prix). Verstappen and Red Bull have been an unstoppable force lately and is the 2021, 2022, and 2023 F1 World Champion.

Verstappen started the race strong but after a crash on lap 29, Norris was able to have a strong launch, overtaking him on strategy using the slower safety car speeds, smartly timed pit stop, and making the most of his tire life to take the lead. Norris’ lead grew to 8 second gap over Verstappen by the finish. This is Norris’ first Grand Prix win and the first win for McLaren in the United States since 2012.

The top five finishers are as follows:

Lando Norris (4), McLaren-Mercedes
Max Verstappen (1), Red Bull-Honda RBPT
Charles Leclerc (16), Ferrari
Carlos Sainz (55), Ferrari
Sergio Perez (11), Red Bull-Honda RBPT

El Farallon

Located at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, El Farallon features cliffside dining at the edge of the ocean. Menu items include sea bass, red snapper, certified Angus rib eye steak, and clams. Seafood in Cabo does not get better than this.

Toro Latin Kitchen & Bar

What to Do

Cabo Adventures

ATV the Baja California Desert

If you are looking for a more adrenaline-inducing experience, we recommend taking an ATV through the Baja California Desert. Private ATV tours let you experience the desert like never before with amazing views of the diverse vegetation, gorgeous canyons, and majestic mountainous peaks. Cabo Adventures even offers an evening tour that ends with sunset and a campfire under the stars.

Boat Tour to El Arco

A beautiful landmark at the tip of the peninsula, El Arco is a naturally formed arch-rock structure at the ocean’s edge. The best way to experience its beauty is via a boat tour, of which private and shared tours are available. We recommend a sunset private tour to see the sun’s rays reflect off the ocean and light up the arch. This is a great activity for a romantic date or adventure with the whole family.

Water Activities

The water around Cabo San Lucas is a beautiful turquoise blue. Water activities such as jet skiing, yacht charters, sailing, and snorkeling are the top ways to experience the crisp blue water. Cabo Adventures offers all these activities for a spectacular daytime activity while you are visiting. Perfect for an adventurous date.

Nightlife

It is no secret that Cabo is known for its nightlife. Apart from the spectacular views, the nightlife scene might be what Cabo is most known for. There is a wide selection of bars and nightclubs to choose from. Saloon Cabo serves delicious and beautiful cocktails, Mandala is great for an energetic atmosphere and VIP bottle service, and The Nowhere Bar is great for live music and a laid-back atmosphere.

Quick Tips

  • Pack sun protection as the Cabo sun can be intense.
  • Drink plenty of water (bottled as tap water can be unsafe).
  • Carry both USD and Mexican Pesos.
  • Learn some basic Spanish words for easier (and respectful) communication.
